#1- Directional Garden Sign

This cute sign is used to designate directions around the property. Is it needed? Not really, but it sure is fun! It would be very simple to make with just a few pieces of wood, but guess how we made it? In its former life, this sign was at TJ Maxx, and it was Christmas themed! We found and purchased it for 75% off in March, and paid about $5.00 for it. A little spray paint, acrylic paint, a few cute stencils, and Voilà! It has been re-purposed to guide us around the yard after we have heat exhaustion in July.Directional garden sign#2- Tree Swings

Who doesn’t love a tree swing? Whether you make one yourself, or purchase one, a tree swing is reminiscent of a slower pace to life, when children would play outside for hours. We had always wanted a tree swing, and when I saw this one, I felt the need to splurge. I often try to DIY as much as possible, but this time, I fell in love with this particular swing.Garden Tree Swing#3 Twinkle Light Watering Can

A couple years ago, we created one of these twinkle light watering cans, and we absolutely love it. The lights are on a timer, and every evening, they pop on, and make this section of our yard feel magical. Many times you can find a watering can at a thrift store or an antique store, or you may even have an old one laying around your home. You can even purchase a new one at places like Tractor Supply. We had to drill out the holes a little bit more so the lights would fit through. The lights are key. You can get your own set here.Watering Can with twinkle lights#3- DIY Scarecrow Lady

The idea of the scarecrow in the garden is as old as can be, but you can bring a fresh spin on it in any way that you want. We decided on a scarecrow lady this year. Her base is simply 2 pieces of wood that we screwed together. Her skirt, top, are thrift store finds, and her hat was something that was in the attic. She adds so much character to our garden. Your scarecrow can be as unique as you are. Think of things you like, search through your closet, a thrift store, or even dig out old halloween costumes. ‘Scarecrows’ are an awesome way to show your personality in your garden space.Scarecrow lady#5- More Garden Signs

Yes, we have a thing for signs. Cute signs are just that, cute. Every season, you will see us add a sign or two, or replace those that didn’t survive the previous year. Many of the signs are descriptive and simply say a word or two. Some, however, are funny or sassy. We are careful not to overdo it, but a few here and there are always fun. This particular sign always gets a few good laughs. You can always find awesome signs on etsy, but they are so fun and easy to make!Funny Garden SignsWe have mentioned a few products that you can order from amazon, but mostly these are simply DIY projects. Here are compiled links for the Amazon products. Thanks so much everyone!
